A compilation of clips from a mid-90s UK cable TV show called Buzzin’, presented by Bhavesh Hindocha. It aimed to represent some of the hugely influential Black music talent of the time, which was largely absent on television. The show was on a short-lived and mainly execrable channel called Live TV, owned by Mirror Group Newspapers. It was launched in typically flambuoyant style by Janet Street-Porter, and sunk by the cold, dead hands of Kelvin McKenzie, former editor of The S** “newspaper”.
Featuring: Carl Cox, David Morales, Chuck D (Public Enemy), Michael Franti (Spearhead), De’Lacey, Will Downing, Lennox Lewis, Prince Naseem, Lisa I’Anson, Ultimate Kaos, Asher Senator, Asian Dub Foundation, Fun-Da-Mental, Martine Girault, Smooth, Anne Nesby, Junior Giscombe, Solo, Wayne Marshall, Roots Manuva, The Kailphz, Top Cat, Tippa Irie, Lloyd Brown, Nitin Sawhney.
