2 films, part of a programme where community groups are invited to interpret objects from the British Museum and make a creative response.

 

Users of the Holy Cross Centre worked with curators to interpret a pilgrim flask, an object in the Treasures of Heaven exhibition. The reliquary is said to contain drops of the blood of St Thomas Becket, and have healing powers. The group used puppetry to present their interpretation.

 

 

A local community group give their interpretation of a kantha, a traditional 19th century Bengali textile which incorporates images of Bengal under the British Empire. They created an illustration in the style of the kantha as their response.
