Narratives of Varied Everyday Lives and Linked Approaches, a 3 year project led by Thomas Coram Research Unit at the Institute of Education.

Novella was concerned with the everyday habitual practices of families, which are often taken for granted but are revealing of people’s ways of life and their relationship to to society. Novella considered what people do and what they say they do, as this often tells us about their identities, values and possible future actions.

Novella was funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, National Centre for Research Methods. It was a collaboration between the Institute of Education, the Centre for Narrative Research at the University of East London and the Young Lives research programme at Oxford University, in association with the University of Sussex.
