Participatory film project with young looked after people at the British Museum. Winner, Best Film at the Islington Black History Awards 2007. We worked with a group of looked-after children from Islington to make films that explored the museum’s collection in relation to their understanding of freedom. Their interpretations were revealing not only of the objects and their history, but of the young people’s lives and aspirations.
